June 1, Scrapbook Layout and Best Of..

It's June 1 and that means a new Scrapbook Layout, A new "Best Of" set and the ALL NEW Catalogue.    Let's start with this month's Scrapbook Layout!   It is a really simple layout with loads of room for photos and space for you to add as many or as few embellishments as you like.

One of the great things about this layout is how the Journaling is broken up.  This allows you to print it off on the printer and simply cut out the sentences and paste them in.  I usually print them off on Stampin' Up's Whisper White Card Stock.

I really do not like my own hand writing so this is a good way to avoid that.

I love that Chevron is in style right now but you could use just about any border or ribbon to decorate this page and there are loads of options when it comes to Embellishments.  Flowers, butterflies, Soccer Balls.  Just go with what works for your page.

For my pages I used the NEW and Free colours that came with the update for Stampin' Up's MDS.  Smokey Slate and Soft Sky.   I also used a few different flower punches to reflect the flowers in Megan's dress and add colour to my page.

If you use my Scrapbook sketches to create pages I would love to see them!

April Fools Day ....

I am hoping this beautiful weather we are having is not Mother Nature's version of an April Fools day joke.  I want Spring to stay, especially since I am too sick to enjoy it, and I am going on a field trip to the Zoo on Thursday with my daughters class!

Since another month is starting I will show you a new Scrapbook Challenge I have sent to my clients and my MDS version of the challenge.

I really hope you can see this ok.  I guess I was not thinking about the white on white when I created these.    I took advantage of the Hexagon Punch in MDS.   I am really hopping to see this come out as an actual punch in the new Catalogue in June.

Another new Item in April is the "Best Of.." set.   April's theme is Butterflies!  Check this out.

Is this not a great set for spring and summer!  I just love butterflies (as you may have seen in my new Blog Header).

Scrapbook MDS -- February Layout

As I said on January 1st I send out a Scrapbook Layout as a Challenge to my clients every month.  My goal is to get them motivated to use the great Stampin Up Products they purchase from me!  By doing this double page layout every month you would have a 24 page book at the end of the year!  I use MDS to create my Layout and my example but all of that could be translated to paper easily enough!  I encourage everyone to put their own spin on it and of course let me know how it turned out!

Here is this month's layout.  It is a little more detailed than last months but sometimes you just have to go for it and make a great busy and fun page!  My inspiration for this layout came from Pinterest!  There are endless ideas on that site for everything!!!

Page 1

Page 2

Creating Circles can be a challenge without the right tools, Big Shot Circle dies or other cutting products can really help you get that look you are going for!  Edge punches are an essential tool for Scrapbookers too.  Adding small details like a scalloped edge can really put a page together! Of course a Scrapbook page is nothing without really great Designer Series Paper.  I used the MDS download "Wicked Fun" one I have in paper also as I know many of my clients do too.

My hope is that these layouts will help you to create something fun and lasting for you and your family!  Scrapbooks may contain photos with wonderful memories but they also are put together with love and creativity that will endure.  Happy Crafting!

Have a great Day!!!

Scrapbook/MDS -- January Layout

Welcome to the New Year!!  I hope you had a wonderful, happy and fun-filled Holiday Season.

Over the past year have been running a Scrapbooking Challenge for my clients and this year I will be posting the layouts and my sample so you too can use these layouts for inspiration.

On the first of each month I will post a new layout to get you motivated. If you do each of the double layouts that I post you will have 24 pages by the end of the year done and ready to put in an album.

Think about how many pages you created this past year, was it enough to fill an album? I will post layout ideas and all you have to do is grab your supplies and photos and start creating. My hope is that this will help you create lasting memories and keepsakes.

Page 2

I used MDS to create my examples but you could just as easily use your paper products to create these pages.   My colours for these pages came from the Summer Smooches Digital Download.  All of the DSP if from there and the background colour is Pool Party.  I used the Flag Punch, Pennant Punch and an alphabet punch set as well as the wonderful photobox feature which allows you to add your photos at any size and then zoom in on the images you would like.

A new layout will be posted on Feb. 1  have a fun creating!

Have a great Day!!!
