Bloomin' Bouquet Project Kit

Mother's Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. There's no watering, no weeding-just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet.
As if that weren't enough, the kit contains a "baker's dozen"! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new! Give it to someone you wouldn't normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. Anyone you encounter on your way that you'd like to give a little "thank you" to-and introduce them to Stampin' Up!

    All Dressed Up!

In January I got the Spring and Summer Mini in the mail, upon looking through it the first time I saw the "All Dressed Up" stamp set and coordinating Big Shot Dies and Framelits.  My first thought was, "what would I ever do with that!?"  Well as time went on I kept seeing more and more cards and projects done with this amazing combo of products.

After attending the Calgary Regional and swapping about 100 cards my mind was set.  I had received about 10 cards using this dress die or stamp set.  All of them were amazing and had me jonesing to play with these products.   Finally I got my hands on them and the first thing I did was recreate the front portion of a card that my Upline Amber Chapman had made.  I changed it up a bit but the overall impression is the same.

I loved it so much we made the front portion in Club.  I then started to play with the pop-up dies and created a fun interior piece too!

The Card Stock used was Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple and Silver Glimmer paper.   I also used the First Edition DSP, Flower Trim and pearl accents.  The Dies I used were the Dress Up Framelits Die, Oval Die, Apothecary Framelit Die, and Bitty Banners Framelit Die.

I love how it turned out and I plan to have lots more fun with these dies and stamp set.   Now I just hope it carries over to the New Catalogue!

    Pac-man on Pinterest

I have been on Pinterest for about a year I think and I love it!  There are endless ideas for any topic!  Funny jokes, recipes, art, and of course crafts.  Cards, Scrapbooking and various Paper crafts can be found in abundance!  This card has been in my "Stampin' Up Ideas" folder for a long time and last weekend I finally had a reason to make it.  My youngest went to a Wreck-it Ralph Movie party.   Because of the video game theme of the movie I thought this card would be great!  The original is from Dany Piepgrass at INKcredible Kreations.

On the inside of the card I stamped a set of cherries from the retired Tart and Tangy Stamp set.  I used the 1 1/4" circle punch to create Pac-man in Daffodil Delight.   The ghosts are Real Red and Pumpkin Pie and punched from the Owl Builder Punch.  I also used the Word Window punch, Corner Rounder Punch, and a small circle punch from the Punch Pack.

This Birthday party was a joint party for two of her little friends and the second card I gave is one of my favourites from the past.  Since it was a movie party I thought a Popcorn card would be perfect.  Check out my original post from Sept. 12

    Happy Birthday Kaiden and Cassie!

    Photopolymer Stamping

A couple of months ago Stampin' Up introduced it's first ever Photopolymer Stamp set!  I finally got my hands on it and boy is it every easy and fun to use.  For my club this month I took inspiration from a card I saw on the Stampin' Up Demo website. This quick masculine card would work for just about any age.  You can also recreate this using any DSP you like to make it more child like or feminine.

To create this card I used Twitterpated DSP, Whisper White, Basic Gray, and Midnight Muse Card Stock. I then stamped the U Rock in Night of Navy (retired now) and the rest in Basic Black.

Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set - Stampin' Up!

Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set  132956  $16.95 CAD.

If you have never tried Photopolymer this is a great set to get your feet wet with.  If you have then you know how easy placement is and how nice they stamp.  I still really love rubber stamps but when it comes to alphabets photopolymer is the way to go.  Nothing is easier to place correctly.

    Butterfly Border Card

Ok so this weekend is a great one!  I went to Oz the Great and Powerful today with my family and it was so fun and then went shoe shopping, Yeah!! There is Free Shipping on Stampin' Up and my Club girls are coming over tomorrow for some fun!  It's enough to make me forget about the foggy and cold weather!

One of the cards we are making tomorrow is this Butterfly Border Card.  Jean Smuck made a great video tutorial (see below) and I just loved the beauty and simplicity of the card.  Plus butterflies are so wonderful!

I used Old Olive, Rich Razzelberry, Daffodil Delight and the now retired Pretty In Pink (I will miss that one).   The Papillion Potpourri is a great set for this as is the All New "Best of" set for April.

Also some big news in Colour!!!

Announcing our Colour Refresh! We love colour and we know that you do too. Colour is fundamental to who we are and what we offer. It's important for us to stay up-to-date with colour trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colours, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities! Why now? In 2010 we did a big colour renovation and shared our plans for smaller colour refreshes every three to five years to keep our colours on trend. Well it has been three years and we are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalogue will include 10 new colours (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! We are welcoming back some of your favourites, moving some colours around, and introducing one brand-new colour, so take a look!

Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued colour products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last. This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period. We did anticipate increased demand and based our forecasts for these retiring colours on historical sales information from previous colour transitions. However, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone--including you in your own business and personal purchases. Please Note, that any of our retiring colour products are only available while supplies last.

I will be placing an order Early Morning of April 6 and another in early morning April 8.

Please let me know if you want to place an order or check out my Stampin' UP webpage for online ordering.

    Have a great day!

    April Fools Day ....

I am hoping this beautiful weather we are having is not Mother Nature's version of an April Fools day joke.  I want Spring to stay, especially since I am too sick to enjoy it, and I am going on a field trip to the Zoo on Thursday with my daughters class!

Since another month is starting I will show you a new Scrapbook Challenge I have sent to my clients and my MDS version of the challenge.

    Page 2

I really hope you can see this ok.  I guess I was not thinking about the white on white when I created these.    I took advantage of the Hexagon Punch in MDS.   I am really hopping to see this come out as an actual punch in the new Catalogue in June.

Another new Item in April is the "Best Of.." set.   April's theme is Butterflies!  Check this out.

Best Of Butterflies Clear-mount Stamp Set
Is this not a great set for spring and summer!  I just love butterflies (as you may have seen in my new Blog Header).
