Warm Wishes - Snow Day

First I want to start by saying I am sorry I have been away so long.  The days are getting away from me and even though I have loads of projects piling up I just cannot seem to get it together and get some posts done.  So here we go, the first of many I hope over the next few weeks.

Have you seen the "Snow Day"  stamp set from the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalogue?  It is absolutely adorable!!   I just love this little snowman!

I wish I could be as happy to see the snow as this little guy!!  I used Pool Party, Island Indigo and Night of Navy to create the sky. I sponged the colours in to blend them together.   Our fun little Snowman is stamped in Smoky Slate (he was inked up and stamped off once before being stamped on the card).  

I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to make snow with white embossing powder.  

I promise to pull out my photo box this week and take some pictures of my other projects!   There is more to come.   In the meantime, stay warm!

Pinterest Inspired me!! Christmas Grunge

I found a card on Pinterest similar to this one and I just had to go in my craft room and try it.  I just love the colour combo and how all of the elements work together.   Distressing, sponging and of course the use of the "Gorgeous Grunge" set all add to the vintage look.  I have also added a faint "En Francais" background stamp.

The colours used are Crumb Cake, Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, a hint of Garden Green and some  Designer Series Paper.  I also added a touch of Champaign Glimmer paper and some twine.  All of these elements came from the original card made by Inkspire Me.

 I love Pinterest.  The inspiration is amazing!!!   Thanks for looking.   I am off to my friend Amber's Wild Rose Retreat this weekend so I will have lots to post when I return!!!  So Excited!

Challenge - Freshly Made Sketches #110

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas outside and I have had some time to create. 

I used the FMS Challenge to create this glitzy Christmas Card and I used lots of silver and rhinestones.

The colours used were, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White and Silver Glimmer paper.   Ink was Silver, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.

I used the Gorgeous Grunge Set for the background and the Festive Flurry set for the snowflakes.  The sentiment is from the very popular "Endless Wishes" Photopolymer set.

November 1 ... Now that was fun!!

Well Halloween is officially behind us for another year which in my house means my daughter is one year older and both my girls are riding on a candy high for the next week!!   We had over 80 kids at our house last night (for us that's pretty good) and there were some amazing costumes.  Of course the smallest ones are the cutest but we had a couple of good scary ones too!

My bumble bee and giraffe made out well on their hunt for treats too so we are fully stocked in the sugar department.   The best news of the day is that it was Snow free!  It's really all I ask from mother nature, is to have a snow free Halloween.



Speaking of Snow, it is the first of the month and that means an all new "Best Of" set!   This month is  "Best of .... Snow!"   It is Adorable!!
We are coming to an end of the 25th anniversary celebrations but I think they are saving some of the cutest sets for the end!
